Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
So, I went to see Sherlock Holmes 2. Before reading this, please realize, I am a huge Sherlock fan. I don’t know how many versions I have watched before, but I am partial to it.
Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows is the sequal to the first one, creatively titled Sherlock Holmes. Basic background is pretty much common sense, Sherlock Holmes uses his freakish sense of details and knowledge to solve mysteries.
Sherlock Holmes was a great movie. Sherlock goes up against Professor Moriorty, his “arch nemesis” of sorts. Basically the professor is a genius, so smart he is a psycho murderer… because how else would the insanely smart spend thier time?
Basically, I really enjoyed this movie. I did like the first one more. The second one just went a little too much for laughs, with all the ridiculous disguises and such. I like the more serious, Sherlock feel of the first one more. I did enjoy some of the comic relief, but Rachel McAdams was only in it for a short time, and I really really loved her in the first one… So I wish she had been in the movie more.
If you enjoy murders and sherlock holmes, go see it. The acting is good, the cast chemistry is awesome, the story line is can’t miss, but don’t be surprised about the borderline over the top comedy.
